Pleasure & Coast

We continue southwards and turn right just before leaving Grube towards Guttau. Over the Wintersberg we reach Apfelhof Grimm. Up to 18 old apple varieties can be tasted with Caroline Grimm at the Bioland certified farm, which has been practicing fruit growing in the third generation. Here, the poet Doris Runge from Cismar sets a sign with her poem "of bees and blossoms", created exclusively for LandKunstStück, on a garden stage. The route continues on L 58 through the artists' village Cismar to Cismarfelde. On the right we reach Hof Steensen. Here stands not only Ostholstein’s first LandKunstStück, but Eike Steensen from Hof Steensen also offers cheese and tomatoes from the farm's own production to taste. A short piece goes back on L 58 to the turnoff right "Alter Kattenberger Schulweg." A wild romantic path leads to Kattenberg, passing another LandKunstStück. "Stone like a landscape" is the almost meditative sculpture by the artist Ulrich Lindow. The tour leads through the forest to Cismar. Just before the Cismar monastery we turn right. A beautiful path meanders through the Klostersee lowlands to the coast. Always along the dike, we ride north, past Kellenhusen and on to Dahme. Here there is time for a short break. Past the Dahme lock, where the Oldenburger Graben flows into the Baltic Sea, we continue north to the beach village Augustenhof. Here we turn left and cycle through wide fields to Siggeneben, a small village with thatched roofs completely under monument protection. The route continues through Siggeneben to B 501 and back to Grube. A short detour leads past St. Jürgen Church to Paasch-Eyler-Platz. On the viewing platform of Paasch-Eyler-Platz, you experience a fascinating view over the former Gruber See and encounter another LandKunstStück, the "Regular Guests" by the artist Johannes Caspersen. End the route with a piece of cake in the traditional house of the Puck bakery in Grube.
