This scenic hiking trail is located in the westernmost area of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park on the border between Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate. Just before crossing the B 406, a short detour to the southwest is worthwhile. There, a viewpoint at the nearby parking lot offers a breathtaking panorama over the still numerous scattered orchards of the village Tettingen-Butzdorf. The village is known beyond the regional borders for the production of Viez - a fermented apple juice already consumed by the Romans.

The starting and ending point of this hike is a narrow forest path on the B406 south of the village of Sinz. From there, the route first leads through fields until after about 600 m a deciduous mixed forest is reached. In the valley of the Nennigerbach, the path runs along the brook for several hundred meters until it crosses the federal road and continues through the forest. From now on, the route alternates between fields, forests, and forest edge areas. After about 8.5 km, the trail crosses district road 117 and at about 11 km crosses the B 406 again.
For example, between Lisbon and Porto, the infrastructure is not yet well developed. The stages from one accommodation to the next can accordingly be long and adventurous.
