PERFECT LISTENING PLEASURE:
With headphones or smartphone speaker: Especially in cities, headphones are recommended because of the ambient noise.
ALSO IN SIGN LANGUAGE:
Together with the Saarland Hearing Network, all routes were also produced in sign language. Simply select the route, tap the sign language symbol, and install the route! With GPS, the sign language videos are triggered automatically on the way. The smartphone vibrates when you arrive at a station.
The project “Listening Tours in the Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve” is supported within the framework of the LEADER funding program with 177,312.86 euros, of which 75% are funds from the European Union from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and 25% funds from the Saarland Ministry for Environment and Consumer Protection.

On this listening route, we immerse ourselves in a world of silence and seclusion. We explore the ruins of Wörschweiler Monastery, where Cistercian monks lived until the 16th century – completely withdrawn from the outside world and with strict rules such as a vow of silence. That is why the monks even had their own sign language! Matching their special way of life, we also have a meditation teacher with us on this route. She will do some mindfulness exercises with us on the way to the ruins and perhaps let us hear, see, and feel nature a little more consciously than usual!
