Your charming "escape route" from the gray everyday life holds worthwhile surprises in store for you at any time of the year. How nice that numerous wine-culinary adventures await explorers here. The historically grown route runs along centuries-old connections, already used by the Romans, which at that time enabled wine cultivation and trade in the Nahe vacation region.
The many highlights of the unique wine cultural landscape shine like shimmering pearls along the 130-km circuit: from the Organ Art Museum (Windesheim) to the Gutenberg ruins and the former Benedictine abbey of Sponheim. In the Mediterranean Nahe Valley, the Rhineland-Palatinate Open Air Museum (Bad Sobernheim) and the mysteriously mystical Disibodenberg Monastery Ruins (Odernheim / Glan) are worthwhile destinations. Amidst the steep slopes exposed to the south, the route achieves a maximum of scenic drama - the Rotenfels impresses as the largest steep face between the Alps and Scandinavia. Particularly recommended in this section are the Rheingrafenstein ruins, the world-famous graduation works of the Salinental, and the historic old town of Bad Kreuznach with numerous museums and the much photographed bridge houses (Brückenhäuser).
