Today we end the tour on the Lahnradweg at a very leisurely pace. Without any noticeable gradients and always in contact with the Lahn, we cycle through the scenically impressive Nature Park Nassau. The fashionable spa town of Bad Ems has already collected many titles: Imperial Spa, Summer Capital of Europe, World Spa - and since 24 July 2021 even a UNESCO World Heritage Site!
And then we continue along the Lahn. Until it finally flows into the Rhine in Lahnstein. The view of the Lahn, which has now matured into an adult river, the arrival at the Rhine and the romantic castles of Lahneck and Stolzenfels allow you to reminisce about the various daily stages, into which you can divide the Lahnradweg very flexibly thanks to the many overnight accommodation options.
If you have not yet fully satisfied your desire to cycle, you can extend the stage on the Rheinradweg to Koblenz, giving you another 10 beautiful kilometres ahead of you.
At Bad Ems main railway station, turn right into Bahnhofstraße and cross the Ottmar-Canz bridge to the other side of the Lahn. Bad Ems has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 24 July 2021 and it goes without saying that you should get off your bike here for a short while. As you stroll through the town, you quickly realise that Bad Ems, with its elegant buildings, is deservedly one of the "Great Spas of Europe". The route continues along Lahnstraße and Römerstraße. At the old town hall, turn left into the street of the same name and then follow Viktoriaallee to the right. At the Remybrücke bridge, continue into Jahnstraße and then follow the riverside path to the right of the Lahn via Fachbach, Nievern and Friedrichsegen to Niederlahnstein.
You will now reach the mouth of the Lahn at the campsite. To get to the railway station, follow the Rhine for a while and then turn into Goethestraße. If you want to continue to Koblenz, follow the signs for the Rheinradweg (Didierstraße) before the railway station subway to get back to the Rhine and follow the riverside path to the Pfaffendorfer Bridge, over which you can easily reach Koblenz's old town with the "Deutsches Eck" and the main railway station.
