After two exhausting stages, relaxation is on the program today. The stage runs past the Grimburg along the Wadrilltal to Reinsfeld.
After two exhausting stages, relaxation is on the program today. The stage starts with an impressive highlight, the Grimburg, a large, partially reconstructed complex that lies on a ridge above the Wadrill Valley. From the valley near Grimburgerhof, a path leads slowly uphill to the castle. A must is the ascent of the castle tower, which offers a wonderful view of the area around the Wadrill Valley. The next few kilometers are pure relaxation. The route leads through the lonely, quiet and natural Wadrill valley. It changes sides several times, offering a variety of views of the unspoilt Wadrill stream landscape. The meadow landscape in which the stream is embedded is a nature reserve. At the rock formation Frau Holle we leave the trail for today and walk along an access road to the stage destination Reinsfeld. On the way, we see a large beaver lodge shortly before Reinsfeld.
