Occitan routes: Stage 6 Elva - San Michele di Prazzo

The sixth stage starts from Elva main town (Serre hamlet). From the picturesque square of the town hall we descend in the direction of the "Vallone", on asphalt, turning after a few hundred meters to the left. Crossing the hamlets of Villar, Reinaud, Clari, Dao and Rossenchie. Beyond the Rio del Lupo, the ascent begins, first on a carriage road then, after the hamlet of Chiosso Superiore, along a path through a thick larch wood that reaches with gentle bends Colle San Michele (1932 m). The view opens up to the wide homonymous valley and on its pleasant high altitude mountain pastures. Take a forest trail that descends to the pastures and high hamlets, while you are captured by the sight of the 3024 meters of Mount Chersogno that stands on the right. The itinerary goes down to the hamlets of Cesani and Castiglione.
