The production of horn combs is ancestral in Ariège. It is believed to date back to the Saracen invasion, or even earlier… Since 1820, the Azéma Bigou family has been preserving this craft. No less than 12 manual and secret operations are required to make a comb, giving it its unique and irreplaceable qualities. Workshop visits are possible.
The Amarante Butterflies
Cathie and Pascal welcome you to their "butterfly farm." A tropical garden inhabited by freely flying butterflies. Also enjoy the garden, where you will find insects and plants useful for breeding.
