Starting from a bastide

Starting from the hall of Cologne, take the D654 (rue Camille Catalan), then at the crossroads turn left. Continue on this road until the end. Turn right and follow this road to La Tuilerie (about 4.5 km). At the fork at La Tuilerie, turn left and follow the path for 1 km. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead. At the intersection, take the road opposite (turn) and ride to Monbrun. The road is beautiful and the landscapes to admire!! Upon arriving in Monbrun: WARNING!!! you will be alongside the departmental road for 350 m, be careful! Cross and take the small street on the left, then right to the road. Turn left and follow D39 to Encausse. At the roundabout, turn left towards Ardizas. In Ardizas, possible break "at the paou", the small square to the right by the church. Continue the road to Cologne. Before the stop, cross the parking of the family house to catch the small path then turn right. You arrive behind the church. Turn right onto "chemin de ronde", then follow the moats. At the stop, turn left onto rue de Saboulies, you are back at the hall of Cologne.

Before setting off:

Make sure your bike is in perfect mechanical condition, including tires and brakes. Ensure your bike is properly adjusted to your body shape. Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended. Bring a repair kit. Make sure your smartphone battery is fully charged. Remember that traffic laws apply to cyclists at all times. Never ride more than two abreast and single up when traffic conditions require it. Respect other road users as you would want them to respect you. Choose a route suited to your physical abilities. Inform your contacts about your itinerary. Check the weather conditions. A first aid kit is not essential but can be very useful. Be informed and have emergency numbers saved. Protect the environment by not throwing food wrappers on the roadside. If you need to return at nightfall, make sure you can see and be seen.

This route is mostly on low-traffic roads, typical of the Gers hinterland. These roads are used by various motor vehicles such as cars and agricultural machinery. Everyone's vigilance is important.

On some parts, it may be necessary to ride single file due to slightly higher car traffic than on the rest of the route.
