CIRCUIT NO. 9 THE FOOTHILLS OF VÉSOLES – VTT-FFC SITE CAROUX EN HAUT-LANGUEDOC

Circuit No. 9 The foothills of Vésoles is a black route intended for experienced mountain bikers looking for a long and challenging ride.
From Place Saint-Amans, the path gradually climbs towards the ridges of the foothills, alternating steep tracks, rocky paths, and technical singletrack sections.
The profile totals 23 km for +830 m of ascent, with altitudes ranging from 239 m to 987 m, offering a real variety of efforts: long accelerations, power sections, and short demanding ramps. The descents include some technical sections where mastering braking and trajectories is essential; they reward the effort with wide panoramas over the massif and the southern part of Somail.
The route offers varied landscapes — forests, scrubland, and viewpoints — and requires good effort and equipment management. Expect about 3 hours depending on pace and breaks, and adapt your ride to weather conditions and your technical level.
