The starting point of this effortless high-altitude hike is the Rigi Staffel railway station. On the Känzeli viewing platform you can take a break and enjoy the spectacular low view of the cross funnel of Lake Lucerne.
The hike can also be done in the opposite direction.
Rigi Staffel (1604 m) - Rigi Staffelhöhe (1565 m) - Känzeli (1464 m) - Rigi Kaltbad (1436 m)

Leave the A4 in the direction of Küssnacht. Follow the signs to Vitznau.
You can reach the Rigi Staffel station by cog railway from Vitznau.
Metered parking is available at the valley station of the Vitznau cogwheel train.
However, we recommend public transport instead of a car: sit back, enjoy and do something good for the environment to boot.
