This loop route is a pleasant excursion that combines history, nature, and breathtaking views, ideal for families and walkers of all levels. Starting from the center of Bormio, you take the "Pedemontana del Reit," an almost flat path that runs along the sunny side of the mountain. The easy and well-trodden path crosses pine and larch woods, offering continuous views of Bormio, Valdidentro, and the surrounding peaks. Before taking the path that climbs the Pedemontana, you encounter the Botanical Garden, an oasis of alpine flora. The track continues to the locality of Uzza, then gently descends to the village of Teregua, where you can admire the chapel of Santo Crocifisso. From here, you return to Bormio crossing the Adda river and following a stretch of cycle path. The route is designed to offer a relaxing walk rich in points of interest, with the possibility of numerous stops to admire the landscape or have a picnic.
Departure: Piazza del Kuerc, historic center of Bormio.
Leave the square heading towards the Pedemontana della Reit, following the signs for the Alpine Botanical Garden Rezia.
Recommended short stop at the Botanical Garden, where you can admire alpine flora.
Continue along the almost flat path, crossing larch and pine woods with splendid views of Bormio, Valdidentro, and the surrounding mountains.
Arrival at the locality of Uzza, following the main track.
Gentle descent towards the village of Teregua, admiring the chapel of Santo Crocifisso.
Cross the bridge over the Frodolfo and follow the cycle path back to Bormio.

Trekking shoes: Shoes should be comfortable and have a good sole to ensure stability on dirt paths.
Light backpack: To carry water, a snack, a windbreaker, and sunscreen.
Water bottles: There are not many water sources along the route, so it is essential to bring enough.
Map or GPS: Although the path is well marked, a map or GPS application can be useful.
Check the weather: Always check the forecast before leaving. Weather in the mountains can change rapidly.
Do not leave the path: Always stay on the marked track to avoid dangers or getting lost.
Beware of children: If walking with children, make sure they are always supervised, especially on sections where the path borders slopes.
