LOOP NO.16 - GIVRAND

Maison de la Cour
Starting from the Maison de la Cour, head towards the roundabout on your right, take the third exit to join the cycle path on your left. Then cross the second roundabout via the pedestrian crossing on your left to reach the other part of the cycle path. At the next roundabout, take the fourth exit which allows you to follow the greenway. After 250 m, carefully turn right, crossing the main road. You gradually leave the village along a white path inviting you to a change of scenery towards beautiful countryside. After 500 m, cross the road to continue straight ahead.

La Fillonnière
A few meters ahead you take the D42, be sure to check both ways before entering the road. Then take the first right and tackle a small climb. Afterward, continue straight for 2 km. Turn right and follow the main road for 2.5 km. At La Fillonnière, succumb to the charm of this place-name, lushly green. Not to mention the presence of many animals.

Jaunay River
2 km later, an intimate encounter is offered with the Jaunay River. A bridge will allow you to gain height and offer a nice panorama on both sides. Upstream from the D12, turn right to follow this same road via a small path. Then fork left and cross the departmental road.

Route de la Croix David
After 800 m, follow the peaceful Route de la Croix David for nearly 1.4 km. Beautiful wooded expanses enhanced by lovely wildflowers along the road. At the intersection, turn right then immediately left. Then continue straight ahead, proceed along rue de la Chalonnière. Cross the D38 with caution to continue straight along rue des Cavaliers. Then turn right, and let the avenue de la Garenne de la Chalonnière lead you to the meeting with the Brétignollais coast and its preserved dune area.

The dunes of the Sauzaie and the Jaunay
At the stop sign, head towards the cycle path that runs along the dunes of the Sauzaie and the Jaunay. A completely different landscape gradually unfolds. The route invites you to wind in the heart of this pleasant vegetated dune area. With gently rolling dunes and small pastures and wooded areas, the journey promises a pleasant variety of scenery.

Greenway of Givrand
Once past the Camping des Cyprès, follow the cycle path and continue straight ahead. Stay on the trail running alongside the departmental road then cross via the two pedestrian crossings. Then follow the greenway for 2.5 km to return to the starting point. A final stage that beautifully closes the ride, with its bucolic setting.
