Church St. Margarethen ob Töllernberg: one of 3 Hemma churches (St. Hemma = patron saint of the state of Carinthia, especially revered) in the area. Romanesque charnel house.
Church St. Georgen am Weinberg and the vineyard: 2nd Hemma church, former fortified church against the Turks. At the end of the 11th century there were 24 vineyards in the area. Due to climatic cooling, viticulture ceased around 1800. For some years now, among others Felix Kucher has been cultivating a vineyard again with excellent results concerning the quality of his wines.
Hallstatt period burial ground at the foot of Lamprechtskogel: cremation graves from the 7th and 5th centuries BC - exhibits are in the local history museum Völkermarkt.
Heunburg - first documented in 1103 as "Hunburch". Today privately owned. Fantastic theater performances every summer in a Shakespeare-like setting.
Völkermarkt main square - Mettingerstraße right into Joh. Heinr. Pestalozzi-Straße, left into Augustinerstraße, cross the bypass road into Quellenweg, turn left up to Trixnerstraße then right and again left into St. Margarethenstraße to St. Margarethen - St. Georgen am Weinberg - Klein St. Veit - Waisenberg - Mittertrixen - Haimburg - Oschenitzen back to Völkermarkt
