Show consideration when crossing and overtaking hikers.

Most of the mountain bike routes in Graubünden run on single trails that are also signposted as hiking trails. Hikers always have the right of way.

Guarda and Ardez are the best preserved villages in the Lower Engadine. Old Engadine houses with their sgraffito decorations give both villages their character. Guarda, situated on a sunny terrace, with its «Schellen-Ursli» story, was awarded the Henri Louis Wakker Prize in 1975 for its intact village image. Ardez with the Steinsberg ruins is under European historic preservation.

Regular guided village tours are offered in both villages, as well as in Sent, Ramosch or Scuol.

The Engadin Scuol holiday region, nestled between the striking Silvretta peaks and the Engadine Dolomites, has preserved its cultural values and unspoilt nature. Whether hiking in the nearby Swiss National Park, rafting on the Inn River or playing golf – the region offers many possibilities. A visit to the Engadine Baths Scuol with its indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, steam bath and Roman-Irish bath provides a relaxing break during the bike tour. A walk through the two preserved parts of the village reflects the culture of the main village with its typical Engadine houses and mineral water fountains. Sent, famous for its baroque gables – «Senter Giebel» – has also retained its charm. Tarasp and Vulpera are situated in a slightly elevated, open location on the other side of the valley. Tarasp Castle, built in 1040, is visible from afar throughout the valley. The landmark of the Lower Engadine can be visited daily by guided tour.
