Hiking Loop - From Lac Blanc to Lac Noir (round trip)

Clothing appropriate for the season and weather conditions (cold, hot, wet, etc.)

Hiking shoes suitable for the terrain (even for children!)

Telescopic hiking poles (useful for stability and to relieve pressure on the joints)

Cell phone and spare battery, if needed

Check the general and local weather forecast to ensure there is no precipitation. Research the approach hike, elevation of the route, travel time, and possible escape routes (IGN map, GPS, guidebook, etc.)

Assess potential risks by consulting mountain professionals, refuge staff, and lodge operators

Inform a loved one of your plans and contact them again if there are any changes: departure and return times, number of participants along with each person’s phone number, vehicle(s), and parking

Avoid going alone; use equipment appropriate for the activity, properly adjusted and in good condition, such as a headlamp, a complete first-aid kit, a survival blanket, etc.
