Round tour from Knottenried via the Tobelweg near Einharz

This leisurely hike begins in the center of Knottenried and leads steeply downhill along a tarred road to the edge of the forest. From there, the shady forest path continues in the direction of Akams. After around 25 minutes, you reach the fire station, where you continue to the left.

The trail leads past the "Zum lustigen Hirsch" inn and continues along the tarred road past the church of St. Otmar to the crossroads. At the fork, the route initially runs straight ahead and then along a meadow path.

The Hölltobelbach stream is reached via natural steps. You can already hear the roar of the Akams waterfall. A wooden bridge leads straight on to the village of Obereinharz.

The trail then heads uphill to the right along a field path to the newly renovated ZaumbergerHackschnitzelweg, which leads through the forest. The path leads past the farm to Zaumberg. There, turn right at the St. Leonhard chapel towards the end of the village.

The route leads along the road in the direction of Missen and at the first opportunity turns right down to Unterluitharz. Shortly before the sawmill, the tarred road branches off to the left. A signpost leads along a dirt track to Oberluitharz.

In the village, continue left, keeping right at the spruce tree. Follow the road uphill to the fork, turn right there and continue straight on back to the starting point in Knottenried.
