The themed trails begin with the Mythenweg, which provides information about magical shrubs, wind chimes, mystical stone circles, and legends and sagas of the region.
This is followed by the Timberland Trail, a forest world that you can not only see, smell, and hear but also feel. There are special elements for visually impaired people that make the forest experience accessible through the sense of touch.
Next is the Burggrabenschlucht, a small track where various animal tracks are explained through panels.
On the further route, you get an insight into the world of the charcoal burners on the small but informative Köhlerweg in Bad Kohlgrub. (The charcoal burners are also the namesake of the spa town.)
Information panels and a model charcoal kiln inform visitors about this almost forgotten craft of charcoal production. The panels provide information, for example, about tree weights (test station), especially suitable tree species for charcoal production, the tar kiln, and more.

You walk past the Kurpark at the paddling pool. After about 10 m, cross a small bridge to the left and follow the signposting "Mythenweg," which then leads you directly to the Timberland Trail (adventure path). Go uphill to the right to the forest road, continue right, and take the next turn left, passing the "Guggenbergalm" (refreshment stop).
Follow the hiking trail about 100 m further uphill and keep left towards Schönau. Walk down the Burggrabenschlucht gorge to the road, then take the next opportunity right and the next path left.
You are now on the Köhlerweg with lots of information and answers to questions such as what a "Hille Bille" is, what can be made from the "bird cherry," what crawls and flies in a "wild hedge," or how much a ster of wood is. There is also a "model charcoal kiln" set up here.
At the end of the path, turn left onto the forest road, which leads you via Prentstraße back to the starting point.
