Themed route - Large Moor Round

The route starts at the parking lot on Kirmesauer Straße in Bad Bayersoien.

From there, it goes directly to Soier See, which you almost completely circle. In summer, the lake invites you to a refreshing swim. Afterwards, you can relax on the available loungers.

Along the lake runs a barefoot path where young and old can explore different surfaces with their feet.

Then you leave the Soier See Round and reach Bad Kohlgrub via the Findenauer Forest to the Rochusfeld. In this typical raised bog landscape, peat is still actively harvested for the baths.

Now you reach the peat educational trail in Bad Kohlgrub. Here you learn about the special features of our valuable healing peat, and a small pond with a lounger invites you to relax.

You leave the town passing the districts Vorderkehr and Hinterkehr and hike back to Bad Bayersoien via the Geizenmoos and the HAIKU Path.

Here awaits you another peat educational trail that clearly explains the formation and significance of the bog for the region.

If you continue now and leave the educational trail, you return to the starting point of the route.

Alternatively, of course, Bad Kohlgrub can also be chosen as the start and end point.
