Winter route to the red deer enclosure Ailwald

The route is mostly flat, with only about 60 meters of elevation gain.

The hike starts here initially heading towards the spa garden. After crossing the railway line and the Murg river, follow the blue lozenge trail uphill to the left towards Bruckenberg. Continue up the Ailwaldweg for a bit until you reach the parking lot of the Hotel Ailwaldhof. Then continue hiking on the Murgtal trail. Along the way, you will pass a red deer enclosure where, with some luck, you can admire these majestic animals. After this hopefully eventful break, continue past the deer enclosure still on the Murgtal trail until you reach Leimenbuckel. Then follow the yellow lozenge towards Schachen. A few meters downhill brings you to the Murg river, where you turn right. Along the Murg runs the cycle path "Tour de Murg." Follow this path until Klosterreichenbach. In Klosterreichenbach, walk along Roter Weg until it enters Murgstraße. On Murgstraße, cross the Murg and follow the railway line back to the starting point.
