Directly bordering the city and flanked by two main roads, the large wooded area is an oasis of peace and the city's most important green area. The circular route is not limited to the forest but, after crossing it, it leads out into the open countryside of the lower Schussental valley into a beautiful and intact rural cultural landscape against the great backdrop of the Alps. Through the forest it goes back to St. Georgen, one of the city's large newer residential areas.
Route: St. Georgen - Seewald - Schoppen-hof - Oberbaumgarten - Seewald - St. Georgen
With the city bus line 6 you can reach the starting point of the tour in 15 minutes from Friedrichshafen city station.
Parking is available at the end of the road "Am Seewald" at the edge of the forest, at the entrance of the hiking trail into the forest.
