The last stage of the Stiefelreise circular route leads the hiker from the spa town Schömberg back to the starting point in Calw. Along the way, one passes through dense and fragrant forests, enjoys views over wide open areas, and scenic highlights such as the wild romantic Schweinbachtal.
From Schömberg, the route goes via Oberlengenhardt and Zainen to Oberkollbach, and then a narrow rocky and rooty path leads through the beautiful Schweinbachtal to the impressive Hirsau Monastery. Here, one should definitely plan some time, as the historic buildings, the hunting lodge, and the adjoining monastery museum in the former Aurelius monastery hold exciting discoveries.
Afterwards, the black-red lozenge of the Eastern Trail leads the hiker on forest paths and trails back into the historic town center of Calw to the starting point at the marketplace, which is surrounded by splendid half-timbered houses, charming cafés, and lively restaurants.
