Up and down: Three valleys and one mountain

The exciting tour leads from Eisenbach through three valleys and over a mountain, always staying in Kreuzthal as the locals understand it. 

We start at the hiking parking lot in Eisenbach and walk leisurely along the Glasmacherweg by the Eschach to Blockwiesen, past the Gohrersberg ski lift, the last witness of the „Schneeloch Kreuzthal“ and its rich ski history. We venture deep into the Ulmertal, passing the sites of three former glassworks on the way. For the ascent to Kreuzleshöhe, we choose the easiest route past remote mountain farms. We relax on the short ridge before descending steeply into the Kreuzbachtal and arriving at the new goat barn. From there, it's an easy return: In Kreuzthal, we listen to the village history firsthand and learn much about the glassmakers at the Haus Tanne inn.
