Baiersbronn T11 Kids Tonbach Route

Let's start at the Härlisberg hiking car park near the Protestant church in Tonbach. From here, we cycle along the hillside, first on a side road, then over a forest path with the first riding technique exercises, to the Wiedenbergweg. A short section of trail follows - child trailers simply ride around on the gravel path within sight.

Then it goes steeply downhill on a paved farm road to Seidtenhof, where the first stop is already offered - for some farm-fresh ice cream!

The brave and already skilled children then ride over the Hasensprung and then continue over the meadow path to the Katzenbuckeln. A short section on Tonbachstraße follows, caution is required here. Children can use the sidewalk. At the bridge over the Tonbach, you have to cross the street and then the first uphill challenge follows immediately.

We cross the Tonbachstraße and ride on the bike path along the Tonbach towards the tennis courts. Shortly afterwards comes the second uphill challenge. Those who have mastered this can pick up the stamp for the children's experience pass at Hotel Tanne, in the little wooden house.

After a well-deserved break to catch your breath, the path leads us further into the Tonbach valley. Shortly before the red deer enclosure, the route turns left.

Anyone who wants to and still has the stamina can make a short detour to the game enclosure and observe the magnificent red deer.

Then we continue to Pudelstein. There, the little explorers can briefly park their bikes and climb the Pudelstein. Afterwards, the molehills and the chamois path await with further riding technique challenges. If you meet the horse-drawn carriage on this section, please wait briefly on the valley side and let the carriage pass.

From here, it is almost all downhill back to our starting point at the Härlisberg hiking car park.

E-mountain bike: Very well suited - although probably too short.

In the national park area, there are seasonal path closures in the wildlife protection areas, especially in winter. In particularly sensitive areas, these can extend beyond winter. In case of a closure, a detour is signposted.

Children:

The route is well suited for children from about 9 years old. You are always close to Tonbachstraße and can shorten the route individually at any time.

Baiersbronn train station, from there follow the mountain bike signs towards Tonbach, enter the tour at the "Reichenbacher Höfe" signpost (approximately 2.3 km approach).
