A little culture:
Mount Brouilly
Mount Brouilly offers a gentle atmosphere, a blend of pine and deciduous forests, vineyards, and hidden trails at an altitude of 484 meters. The presence of the chapel adds a mystical touch to the summit. The mountain is composed of magmatic and sedimentary materials. A fertile terroir composed of bluestones was born from this heritage.
Spiritual sentinel of the vineyard
Legend speaks of Brulius, an officer in the Roman army, who gave his name to the hill and planted vines. Today, the Gamay grapes harvested on its steep slopes produce the AOC Brouilly and Côte-de-Brouilly grapes, along with single-plot vintages.
In the 19th century, to protect their vineyards from attacks by frost, hail, and powdery mildew, winegrowers had the Notre-Dame-des-Raisins chapel built.
