From Roletto to Rocca Vautero along the bridleway

From the hamlet of Roncaglia, take a wide path through the woods at the foot of the Costagrande hill, also called the "horse trail" as it is particularly suitable for horseback riding.

Passing the houses of Via Rostagno, the trail crosses an old stone bridge built at the end of the 19th century, then continues partly on asphalt and partly on dirt road to Via Verdi. From here, follow the signs of the "David Bertrand Trail," a young AIB who was born in Roletto and died in the "Monte San Giorgio" Provincial Park during the Piossasco fire in 1999.

The trail climbs steeply amidst beautiful beech and chestnut forests, reaching the rocky spur of Rocca Vautero, where there are several climbing routes. A ladder makes it easy to reach the top, from which there is a vast panorama of the Pinerolo plain and the foothills between Pinerolo and Cumiana.
