Vienna not only has the largest climbing hall in Austria, but also numerous great bouldering halls and some interesting outdoor climbing walls - for example at the Flakturm.

Block factory
The light-flooded boulder hall offers suitable routes for ambitious boulderers as well as beginners. There are many seats between the mats for resting, a bistro with varied food and drinks, a training area and also optically the block factory scores with its design.

*Boulderbar Vienna & Boulderbar Wienerberg
In contrast to many "climbing caves" located in cellars, the Boulderbar Vienna scores with its light and airy ambience. In the supermarket-sized hall with skylights the mail used to be sorted - today boulderers work out their routes on approx. 1.300m².

There is a second location in the south of Vienna at Wienerberg in the High Tech Campus. The hall offers a moonboard, a training area, a 45 degree wall, a kids' zone, a cosy bar and numerous free parking spaces.

Climbing Hall Vienna
1,200 square metres of floor space, a continuous height of 16 metres and 2,300 square metres of varied climbing landscape for all levels of difficulty - this is how the "Kletterhalle Wien" presents itself. Austria's largest climbing hall offers something for every taste, whether beginner, sports climber or experienced alpine tourist with training ambitions. On an additional 700 square meters of bouldering area (indoor & outdoor) you can warm up and practice all the tricks you need to climb a top rope (climbing with rope protection from above). Equipment like shoes, harnesses and helmets can be rented. Courses and workshops, spacious sanitary facilities and a café-bar complete the offer.

Climbing hall Marswiese
The climbing hall in the middle of the greenery offers about 300 routes on 1.674 m² climbing area and a bouldering area of 540 m². There are also 2 safety devices, a training area and much more.

rope climbing halls in the centre
In the city centre of Vienna, the Climbing Centre Austria and the ÖTK climbing hall offer varied lead and toproper routes, bouldering rooms and climbing courses for young and old in a central location. Not far away and also very centrally located is the climbing centre of the Alpenverein mountain club with a similar offer.

Flak tower Esterházypark
The 25 sport climbing routes on the flak tower in the Esterházy Park offer a view over the roofs of the city. On an area of more than 700 square metres, more than 4,000 holds provide variety and challenge in the vertical. The main wall, which is up to 34 metres high, offers routes for beginners and experts alike, from the 4th to the 8th degree of difficulty.

Vienna climbing parks
You can go outdoors to lofty heights in three Viennese climbing parks: the high-wire climbing park at Gänsehäufel, the Danube Island Climbing Park and the Forest Rope Park Kahlenberg, which only opened in 2012. The latter is located in the middle of the Biosphärenpark Wienerwald and offers 135 exercises and obstacles on 30,000 m² and a total course length of 1.8 km.
