On the footsteps of the Hadas
The Sourroque massif, above Saint-Girons, is home to a karst trail with interpretation panels, particularly near the chasms it runs alongside and describes; dotted with riddles to be solved, it is fun...
The trail is also of geological interest, with its many chasms and sinkholes attracting potholing enthusiasts.
An ideal walk on hot summer days to enjoy the coolness of the forest.

We encourage you to behave responsibly in this fragile and shared environment.
- Stay on the paths and take your waste with you.
- Observe the flora without picking it.
- Stay discreet, for the wild animals.
- In grazing areas, remember to close fences and gates. Do not approach or feed the animals. If a Patou (livestock guardian dog) approaches you, move away slowly and calmly. No sudden movements or shouting, even if it barks, as it would consider you a threat. If it follows you, ignore it.
- Swimming in the lakes is discouraged. Sunscreen (even organic!) and other cosmetics pollute this fragile environment.
- Camping is allowed, but only between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m., and more than an hour's walk from a parking lot.
- During drought periods all fire is forbidden. Otherwise, fires are allowed only more than 200m from a forest. Prefer stoves over open fires.
- In case of a very unlikely encounter with a bear (which tries to avoid us at all costs): calmly make your presence known, slowly move away, and don’t run.
