With its 100 km of hiking trails, the Swiss National Park is an absolute hiking paradise.

21 routes offer something for every preference. In an effort to enjoy the nature in all its diversity, it is important that you make yourself familiar with our protection regulations in advance.
The Swiss National Park is a mountain park with altitudes between 1400 and 3200 m above sea level. Many hikes involve greater differences in altitude and lead right over the forest line.

Sudden changes in the weather or drops in temperature require good preparation (condition of the trail) and equipment. This includes hiking boots with a non-slip sole, sun and rain protection and sufficient provisions. Except at the Chamanna Cluozza and the Hotel Parc Naziunal Il Fuorn there is no possibility to stop for refreshments in the park area. Remember that no fires may be lit in the National Park, not even at the rest areas.

Binoculars are very useful for observing animals. At the National Park Centre in Zernez you can rent appropriate instruments. Please note that the mobile phone network does not cover the entire park area.

Would you like a competent guide? Our guides know the National Park like the back of their hand and look forward to going on a journey of discovery with you. You can find guided excursions on our homepage.
