Lake Filzalm (1,300 m), known locally as the Filzalmsee, is a popular spot on Hochbrixen.

Charming Alpine scenery, rare animals, and plants are waiting to be explored by young and old along panoramic walking trails.

Right next to Lake Filzalm you’ll find a biotope with viewing boxes and nature discovery stations revealing secrets from the underwater world. Also for our young hikers, there is a giant sand pit with lots of great surprises!

The themed hiking paths, “Giant’s Pass”, “Giant’s Way” and “Giant’s Forest”, also have countless attractions to keep you amused.

Taking care of your health and wellbeing, too, are Kneipp stations with moor mud paddling pools and wading pools. The mountain inns around the lake indulge guests with typical specialities from the region.
