A Switzerland-wide novum conquered Pizol last weekend: At Shred Poker, the locals showed off some gnarly tricks, to get as many goodies as possible and 500CHF in cash. At the end of the day, it wasn’t the prizes which were in the focus but rather the fun the riders got from shredding together.

Last Saturday, all signs were set to poker face up at Pizol! At a preceding voting, the locals from Riderpark Pizol could select one out of three possible special obstacles to shred. A massive Hover Tube made the cut and was to decide whether the riders got lucky or not. Freshies, cozy temperatures and loads of sunshine completed the perfect conditions for the first edition of the Shred Poker goody-chips for tricks session.

Following the slogan “Chips for Tricks”, the riders with the best progression got the chance to gather poker chips. These coins were worth a lot on this very day: Goodies from Radix, TSG, Amplifi, Pinetime Clothing and QParks, as well as 500CHF in total were waiting for the most daring gamblers. With this prospect in mind, the riders jibbed, spinned and hiked euphorically!

Park designer Kevin Tresch was stoked: “The Hover Tube definitely was an eye catcher and drew lots of attention. The riders were highly motivated, which I, as park designer found particularly cool.” So the gamblers pushed each other, played one nice hand after another and the chips were just flying through the air. Seppi Scholler, chief motivator and speaker, made for some new energy alongside a nice BBQ and drinks for free in the chill area.

Freeskiers Nando Riedi and Elias Mannhart came out as the most effective players with the best poker faces at Pizol. Both won 16 chips which were worth 200CHF prize money for each of them and they also got some truly rad goodies from Radix. Snowboarder Martin Ondrejovic, shaper at Pizol, benefited from his home advantage and became third. With a big grin in his face, 100CHF in his pocket and some fresh Radix goodies he started the reshape. So giving the last word to the Riderpark’s mayor: “All in all it was a perfect day!” Kevin concluded.
