Since December 2017: New detachable gondola lift Lazaun!
In the summer of 2017, the old Lazaun chairlift built in 1978 was pulled down; it was replaced by a modern detachable gondola lift from the well-known Doppelmayr company.
The new lift, which climbs 430 metres in altitude, can carry 1,980 passengers per hour. In 27 gondolas, winter sports enthusiasts and day-trippers can reach the Lazaun mountain station comfortably and safely in about four minutes. From the start (2,430 m), skiers can choose between two medium-difficult slopes with a total length of around 3.5 km and a sledge track with a length of 3.3 km. For pedestrians and toboggan rides there are inexpensive single tickets or point tickets which can be redeemed for the Lazaun gondola lift and the "Glocken" ski lift in Kurzras. A separate "valley" ticket allows skiers to use the Lazaun, Glocken and Roter Kofel facilities at particularly favourable conditions.
